Madison's philanthropy work continues and she is hosting a Project Rags to Riches fundraiser on Friday, October 3rd at Hotel Arts (119 12th Ave. SW) in Calgary. The keynote speaker is Marie Diamond, who was featured in the DVD version of the best-selling book, The Secret. Visit Project Rags to Riches for more information on this event.
In September 2008, Madison joined the HUB organization (Humanity Unites Brilliance) as "Canadian Founding Arc Angel." Joining HUB has many benefits for Madison as she actively pursues her philanthropy work. It is important to Madison to give back to the community, especially after she and her Mother suffered a brief stint of homelessness when Madison was very young. As such, she has been an advocate for the homeless and has volunteered for several years with the Inn From the Cold Society "IFTC" where she received a volunteer award and was a guest speaker at the 2000 benefit, "Heart for the Homeless Gala."
As a volunteer, Madison and her Mother helped prepare beds and meals, cleaned, as well as offered encouragement and emotional support to the various street families, especially the kids.
Here is a list of charities supported by Madison.
Donations can be made directly to the respective charities, "In Honour of Madison Lindstrom, Project Rags To Riches."
